Authors for the Freedom to Read

Join the Pleasanton Library and Towne Center Books for a special event during Banned Books Week.

Along with Assembly Member Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, authors Maggie Takuda-Hall, Lisa Ramee, and Joanna Ho will come together for a panel discussion about protecting our freedom to read.

This free event is presented by Towne Center Books, The Pleasanton Library, and Authors against Book Bans. It is an opportunity to voice censorship concerns and celebrate free expression. Books challenged in the U.S. and related merchandise will be available to purchase.
