Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the high-energy sounds of Tempest, a band that’s been rocking the Celtic music scene for over 30 years! Blending Irish reels, Scottish ballads, Scandinavian influences, and world music, this San Francisco Bay Area-based group has released 18 albums and played more than 2,500 shows worldwide, including top festivals like The Philadelphia Folk Festival and Britain’s Cropredy Festival.
Led by Oslo-born electric mandolinist and vocalist Lief Sorbye, Tempest features a powerhouse lineup of original members, including guitarist Rob Wullenjohn, bassist Ian Butler, fiddler Jon Berger, and Cuban-born drummer Adolfo Lazo—who’s never missed a show in over three decades!
